Join us for a free mobile dental/medical/vision clinic hosted by New Mexico Mission of Mercy (NM MOM), a program of the New Mexico Dental Association Foundation, and Remote Area Medical (RAM)® to provide free, high-quality dental, medical and vision services.

 

The New Mexico Dental Association Foundation and Remote Area Medical are committed to the safety of our patients and volunteers. We are closely monitoring all federal, state and local COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations from the American Dental Association.

TIME

Come early - clinic doors open at 6:00am on March 11th & 12th.

PARKING

Patient parking lot will open 12:00am each clinic day.

WHAT TO BRING

  • You are not required to bring anything with you.  We do not ask for proof of residency or proof of income.
  • Bring all of the medications that you take every day, and take them just like you normally do.
  • The line to enter the clinic will be outside so dress appropriately for weather conditions.
  • Food and drinks will not be provided so it's a good idea to bring your own.
  • You will wait your turn to enter the clinic, and then wait to see a clinician so bring reading, electronic devices, crossword puzzles, or other items to fill your time.
  • You will only be allowed to bring one small personal item (purse or backpack) into the clinic.

CHILDCARE

No childcare provided.

IS EMERGENCY TREATMENT PROVIDED?

NO ONE should wait until our NM MOM event to seek critical dental or medical attention, as this could lead to serious health consequences.

WHO SHOULD COME?

Adults and children who do not have access to care. 

  • No appointment - first-come, first-served.
  • No paperwork needed.
  • No application.
  • No I.D. required.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

SERVICES PROVIDED

The basic services include:
  • Dental - exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions
  • Vision - complete dilated eye exam, testing for glaucoma, testing for diabetic retinopathy, glasses made on site
  • Medical - limited general medicine, diabete screening, physicals, consultations
Due to time constraints, be prepared to choose between DENTAL and VISION services. All patients will have the option of receiving DENTAL and MEDICAL care or VISION and MEDICAL care, but not DENTAL and VISION care on the same day.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TREATMENT

The RAM Clinic is open to anyone willing to wait in line to receive treatment, no questions asked, for as long as resources are available. There is no sign up for patients as the clinic is first-come, first-served.  Come early!   No ID’s or paperwork is required, and any demographic information collected will only be used in aggregate so that we have statistics about our patient population. Patients will be required to complete and sign a waiver.
